How British Triathlon Uses Splento
Over 4000 photographs provided by 6 photographers, each covering a 13 hour Session for the AJ Bell World Triathlon Event in Leeds.
Use of Splento’s Live Images allowed organisers to provide participants with individual mementoes of the event as part of their goodie bags.
One photographer and one videographer for four hours of shooting. Use of AI for participants to find their photos using facial and bib number recognition software.

So Catherine, what were your aims for the recent Leeds, Nottingham and Canary Wharf projects that Splento carried out for you, and were they achieved?
We brought Splento in to capture our participants throughout their triathlon journey and to provide a memento of the day. We wanted our participants to be able to find images of themselves at various points throughout the race via one of our commercial partners website, which they could share on social to maximise exposure of the event and our partner through the watermarks used.

How important is the visual content Splento provides to you?
As an event organiser, we made a commitment to our participants that they would each receive a free image of themselves during their race as part of their digital goody bag. Ensuring that we keep this promise is of the highest importance for us. Splento have also supported through video content and production which builds our assets to help us to showcase the innovative ways we can run a triathlon to stakeholders.
Apart from the visual content you received from us, were there any other features of the service that added value to your events?
Splento just understands what we’re trying to achieve and how to do that. They ask intuitive questions during our briefing sessions and are able to get on with the task at hand with minimal involvement. The independence is a very relieving quality to have when you have multiple areas and tasks to be dealing with. Splento are always extremely quick with delivering the images/video to us, on our larger event, we had images going up later that day and for our video we had received the first draft within 36 hours of the event.
