On a more serious note – happy Friday everyone! Just a quick update from Splento HQ.
1) ZOOM / Recent Update:
Clients & Partnerships:
a) Our trial with Deliveroo has passed with flying colours and we are in the process of onboarding them as a client. As you know, usually with us there is no onboarding to be done, because with Splento you can book straight from our website (or your CRM via our API) 1, 10 or 100 photographers for today, for tomorrow or next year and get your edited photos delivered the next day straight into your inbox. But due to the volume of work and geographical breadth of this particular job – it will take a bit longer to get into a full swing.
b) We have also started a trial with one of the world’s leading car sharing clubs. If all goes well – another happy large marketplace client. I’ll tell you more next month.
c) Instead of its usual spot (St James’s Palace), Pitch@ Palace 10.0 Conference last month was held at Buckingham Palace. As long-standing suppliers to Pitch@Palace, it was a huge privilege to help Prince Andrew and his team to amplify their amazing conference at the Royal Family’s HQ. We delivered thousands of edited photos LIVE during the event and created huge social media buzz and great ROI for the organisers.
d) As the Splento brand recognition grows, many event organisers not just realise that we are the best solution to all their visual content needs, but also that we know a thing or two about the industry and how to make more money out of conferences and trade shows with photos and videos. Last month we got invited to present and sit on panels at several conferences, however, the highlight must have been a 30-minute keynote presentation by my colleague Bogdan at Event Tech Live on “How to Monetise Your Visual Content“.
2) FOCUS / Looking Ahead:
Simple. If in October I reported that we were in the last 10,000m of our Late Seed Round marathon, now we can literally see the finish line, so come January 2019 – we’ll be ready for a proper takeoff. I’ll continue talking to VCs about Series A, so any introductions in 2019 will be welcome.
3) EXPOSURE / Ask:
