Biometric Identification with Self-Test Covid-19 Kits

The COVID-19 Tracker

Millions of antigen self-test kits will be sold around the country over the next few weeks.

The data behind these tests matters! But unfortunately, the NHS and our research institutions won’t know much about:

  • how many people took those tests;

  • where these tests have been taken;

  • and what were the results.

However, these results can be extremely useful, especially for creating a map to visualise the spread and extent of the pandemic and for the issuance of immunity passports

For these results to be effective, they need to be centralised and the accuracy of the data is of critical importance.

We have a ready solution for easy uploading, verification and data sorting.

You can try it for yourself here: https://www.splento.com/splento-self-test-kit-result-tracker

UPLOAD TO A MAP:

A simple solution, which allows anyone to:

  1. Upload a photo of their test result to our servers;

  2. Click “I tested positive” or “I tested negative”;

  3. Choose the test-kit manufacturer (so the Government can easily include or exclude data from certain test-kits if they later prove to be unreliable);

  4. AI and human admins verify that the result submitted by the person is correct and will categorise the results into groups by manufacturer.

  5. We will then automatically upload a marker (green/red) to the map ready to be used by the Government and our researchers.

UPLOAD TO RECEIVE A TEMPORARY IMMUNITY PASSPORT:

A more advanced solution based on our existing platform and that integrates with an existing ID verification platform:

  1. Upload a photo of the test result to our servers;

  2. Click “I tested positive” or “I tested negative”;

  3. Choose the test-kit manufacturer (so the Government can easily include or exclude data from certain test-kits if they later prove to be unreliable);

  4. Verify your identity via a third party ID verification provider;

  5. AI and human admins verify that the result submitted by the person is correct and will categorise the results into groups by manufacturer.

  6. We will then automatically upload a marker (green/red) to the map ready to be used by the Government and our researchers.

  7. People who want to receive an immunity passport are then asked to enter their email address, so that a “mobile pass” with a unique QR code can be emailed to them (the same type of mobile pass that is used by millions of people around the world to board planes, enter cinemas and events).

  8. Mobile passes can be updated and revoked if required.
