Prestige Events is an online publication and events company who regularly host events with the aim of connecting and informing event professionals. Their most popular events include 20/20 Speed Networking, the Cool Venue Awards and the HOT 50 Awards, which celebrates the biggest game changers and influencers in the event industry. This year, nominees had the chance of winning an award from categories such as Venues, Suppliers, Buyers and Event Heros. Held at DISTRKT London, this year’s awards saw over 500 attend and produced 50 winners, including Conde Nast, Nokia, The Independent, Microsoft and Amex.



Full professional event photography coverage was needed for the awards evening, including event highlights, ‘red carpet’, VIP area and Media Wall coverage for PR and marketing purposes. Wider aims included building brand awareness, increasing online engagement and attendee engagement.



With six photographers, we produced just under 700 edited photos over the four hours. We covered three floors and multiple focus points, including 2 Media Walls and captured over 462 attendees in total. Our retouching team then selected the best photos, edited them and uploaded them to online galleries for the marketing team the next day. In order to increase online engagement, we provided ‘Live Images’, whereby we edited selected photos and uploaded them in less than 2 hours so that attendees and organisers could share them on social media as the event was taking place. In an effort to boost attendee engagement, we created easily accessible online galleries, specifically designed to encourage attendees to share the images online.



Witha combination of ‘Live Images’ and our marketing team’s social media efforts, we achieved brand exposure to 281,796 people online, over 42,000 impressions on Twitter in the first 24-hrs after the event, and had photos in the top 10 most-used media in #Hot50Awards. Just to add to the excitement, we managed to win the Top Suppliers of the year award!
