Now entering its fourth year, The Art Business Conference is the UK’s leading platform for discussion of the key issues in the global art market. The conference is attended by art market professionals and offers knowledge and insight for those running an art business or collection.
The agenda is designed to facilitate discussion on the many key factors in running a commercial art or antique business or collection. Leading experts from the art world, together with business leaders and technology experts, share their insights through presentations, Q&As, panel discussions, and workshops. Attendees have the opportunity to meet with art businesses and industry experts during networking sessions held in the Business Pavilion and Media Lounge.
The conferences regularly take place at the Church House Conference Center, Westminster and 10 on the Park, Manhattan. With each conference we have covered, the organisers have aimed to raise awareness and to increase online engagement and attendee engagement through both videography and photography. Other objectives have involved capturing the event highlights, paying special attention to speakers, panellists and discussions, sponsor logos and catering in order to increase their sponsors’ ROI.
For each of the 3 conferences we’ve covered in both London and New York, we’ve provided full professional conference photography, focussing on attaining a consistent visual narrative for the events in both countries.
We’ve shot over 600 photos across the events, 300+ of which we’ve edited and sent to online galleries, designed to allow attendees and organisers to easily view, download and share the photos. Individual galleries were created for the event sponsors and partners, which include Arcis, RICS, Apollo and The Art Newspaper, to make it easier for them to find and use the photos for marketing and PR purposes.
Most of the images were delivered within 24-48 hours, however, in order to increase online engagement during the event, we provided ‘Live Images’ whereby we’ve posted ‘key moments’ and general shots to their Instagram and Twitter during the event using the event hashtag. Some images were also sent the next morning for PR purposes. We’ve captured some fantastic speakers, including Kensington’s MP, Victoria Borwick, well-known art journalist and author, Georgina Adam and senior art historian, Dr. David Bellingham and sent the photos to their own, private, online galleries.
A short showreel of one of the conferences was provided which involved key moments from the start of the day, through to the drinks evening, covering the main talks room, the networking rooms and including short soundbite interviews with leading speakers.
Through the use of Live Images, The Art Business Conference were able to increase their online engagement rates by 500%. They also achieved 350,000 online impressions on the day, which helped to build brand awareness. This year, The Art Business Conference was mentioned in publications such as Art Entrepreneur, Antiques Trade Gazette and The New York Times.
